The legislative branch supports the reform of the general health law for a new food labeling

The Chamber of Deputies approved in general and in particular the reforms to frontal food labeling in the General Health Law. With 445 votes in favor, 0 against and 3 abstentions, the plenary approved this opinion that seeks to establish that warnings on processed foods and non-alcoholic beverages are shown on the frontal labeling. These reforms pass to the Senate of the Republic for analysis and, where appropriate, ratification.
